Join a major shipyard project inside a modern fabrication facility. This is a hands-on welding role for skilled professionals who want consistent hours, competitive pay, and per diem for days worked.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform MIG welding on aluminum in 3G & 4G positions
- Fabricate and assemble parts for marine vessels
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and weld symbols
- Set up and operate semi-automatic or automatic welding equipment
- Use oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting or pre-heating
- Maintain quality standards and follow safety protocols
What You’ll Need:
- Pass MIG aluminum weld test (3G & 4G on 3/8" plate – X-ray quality)
- Shipyard or marine fabrication experience preferred (not required)
- Standard welding PPE: hard hat, hood, gloves, eye protection, ear plugs, welding leathers
- Basic welding hand tools
Schedule & Pay:
- Mon–Thu | 4x10s
- Pay: $30.14/hr (Welder II) | $25.56/hr (Welder III)
- Per Diem: Paid for days worked
